RE_ 134 Main Street - 02232018 emailFrom:Dave Thacker To:Mick Berry Cc:Mike Meza; Corey Legge Subject:RE: 134 Main Street - work stop order lifted Date:Friday, February 23, 2018 2:45:06 PM Attachments:image001.pngimage002.png Hi Mick, Thanks for the email. Although the report from Advanced Shoring is still a concern of mine based on how the report was referencing the soils report, yet did not use any of the information provided, it is stamped by an engineer and does have specifics related to the shoring requirements. The shoring plan specifies the requirement for soil nails on three sides of the property. The north side, south side and west side. All of which will be required to have an encroachment agreement signed and submitted from the property owners. Understanding the west side is Main St. an agreement showing utility locations and soil nail location will have to be submitted, reviewed and approved by the Engineering Dept. prior to moving forward with the temporary shoring. You and Mike made a request to be able to temporarily move soil the site to get the soil cuts back to a minimum of 4 feet, however without proper compaction of the soil it will not benefit the retention of the soil cuts there now and will not be approved. Please move forward with getting the additional agreements and plan to temporarily shore with soil nails per the submitted engineering in order to move forward. Please let me know if you have any questions. We have submitted the GeoTechreport and the Shoring plan and they should say they are working together. The last item on the list is the Temp Encroachment Agreement with the neighbor. Carol is ready to sign assoon as she gets that letter from you stating we are in compliance. Please let me know if you need anything else. We know you are very busy and we appreciateyour time and help on our project. Thank you, Mick BerryNorman Construction mobile- (435) 640-8752email- mickberry@normanconstructionpc.com
