a2 Addendum 1 - Response to Proposer's QuestionsAddendum #1 Park City Municipal Corporation (PCMC) Traffic Signal Preemption & Priority Control System RFP #613119 Date Issued: July 17th, 2017 This addendum is issued to respond to questions received regarding aspects of the RFP and clarify information. Proposals are due by 5:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017. Prospective proposers are reminded that as per IP 5 – Questions, Clarifications, or Omissions (p. 10), all requests for submitted deviations must be fully supported with technical data, test results, transit revenue experience, or other pertinent information which confirms that the item and/or system being offered meet PCMC’s minimum requirements. Any and all Deviations must be explicitly, fully and separately stated in the Proposal by completing the Form for Proposal Deviation, setting forth at a minimum the specific reasons for each Deviation so that it can be fully considered and, if appropriate, evaluated by PCMC. All Deviations shall be evaluated in accordance with the appropriate evaluation criteria and procedures and may result in the Proposer receiving a less favorable evaluation than without the Deviation. Also, in accordance with TS 4 – Proposal Deviations (p. 54), the nature and extent of submitted proposal deviations may negatively impact the favorability of a proposal. The following constitutes the questions received, followed by Park City Municipal Corporation’s response. 1. Can we schedule a demonstration of our product with PCMC? PCMC’s Response: The Evaluation Committee has not requested presentations or demonstrations at this time. Should the Committee determine product presentations or demonstration necessary or serve the best interests of PCMC in making a determination, the Project Supervisor will coordinate meeting times with Proposers who have submitted a responsive Proposal. 2. The RFP states that Park City will need vehicle kit installation on 40 buses. What portion of this number is for current bus retrofits versus new future bus builds? What is the total number of new vehicle kits that Park City is looking to acquire in this RFP? What is the time frame for the acquisition of these new kits? PCMC’s Response: PCMC understands that any existing Signal Preemption equipment within our buses might outdated. PCMC therefore requests that Proposers include within their proposal pricing for 40 new bus installation kits. The Evaluation Committee prefers that pricing schedules include both a per unit price per bus and a total price for these installation kits and all required components. PCMC’s intent is for this project completion to occur no later than November 1st, 2017.
